Finding like-minded people online, safely

We are more connected than ever, yet finding a protected space to share a passion with people you don't know is still hard. Here is why trust, verification and moderation make the difference.

We are more connected than ever. Yet, for many people, the internet is still an unsafe place to meet someone who truly shares their interests.

The paradox is clear: we can talk to anyone, but finding a protected space to share a passion, a hobby or an idea with strangers is becoming increasingly difficult.

What the numbers say

  • According to the Meta-Gallup Global State of Social Connections, nearly 1 in 4 people worldwide say they miss real connection.
  • According to the OECD, in Western countries around 1 in 10 people has no one to rely on in times of need.
  • Only 47% of Americans feel extremely or moderately safe in their everyday online experience.
  • 73% are concerned about the privacy of the data they share online.

Not more contacts, but connections built on trust

The real need, therefore, is not "having more contacts". It is being able to meet people with shared interests in a verified, respectful and safe environment: one where moderation is active, privacy is protected and trust is not left to chance.

How we do it at Findred

  • Verified identity to see real photos and make video calls.
  • Automatic checks on chats that protect phone numbers, emails and social handles.
  • Reporting and blocking always within reach, for every member.

The internet does not need more noise. It needs places where people can recognise each other, talk and trust one another.
